Good Ventures and GiveWell Announce $2 million in funding for IDinsight

In June 2016, Good Ventures announced a $1.985 million unrestricted funding award to IDinsight, provided at the recommendation of GiveWell.

The three-year investment will help refine and scale IDinsight’s model of tailoring evidence generation approaches to decision-making needs in international development.

IDinsight CEO Neil Buddy Shah commented:

“We’ve seen tremendous growth in the use of data and rigorous impact evaluations in international development over the past 15 years. However, there is still substantial work needed to make these tools more actionable for decision-makers on the ground.

The investment will help us scale our approach, influence global development discourse and practice, and develop new tools to better serve practitioners.”
